Today I was feeling inspired to just strictly stay behind the lens and play with the scenery around our neighborhood. Sof and I thought the lighting, barren, desert landscape, and solitary, yet prominant tree acted as the perfect setting. We had fun trying to capture different shots than we are usually use to and thought the end product turned out interesting and playful. We're hoping the dramatic shadows, glowing, natural lighting, and new angles/perspectives put a fresh spin on an ordinary set of photos. We both have lately been influenced by the Kings of Leon's latest album: Only by the Night, which inspired today's look. The catchy tunes and their revolutionary take on rock music leaves you wanting more and wondering what they have left up those sleeves of theirs. With each CD they exceed my expectations, and this one definately tops them all off. I'm excited to say that they will be headlining this October at the Austin City Limits Festival. I for sure will not be passing up that opportunity!
